FHS senior improves to satisfactory condition
A Frenship High School senior who was hit by a truck while crossing FM 179 to the school on Dec. 17 was recently listed in satisfactory condition at University Medical Center.
Kennedy Reeves, 17, had parked at Peoples Bank Stadium across from the school and was crossing the street shortly after 7 a.m. when she was struck. The driver of a Ford F-150, Roy Patrick, 64, apparently did not see her until the last minute, according to Wolfforth police. Patrick stopped to assist Reeves after the accident. He was cited for failure to yield right of way to a pedestrian at a crosswalk, according to Wolfforth police.
Reeves has remained in University Medical Center since the accident, but her status was recently upgraded to satisfactory.
Reeves is active in choir and was recently featured in the Avalanche-Journal and Frenship Today after her boyfriend asked her to Homecoming via Broadway star Tiffany Haas. The star regularly plays Glinda in “Wicked.”
