The Frenship girls basketball team has the luxury of six returning seniors this season.

“Every year your team is an example of your seniors, and how they act, work out, and play every day,” said Frenship head coach Terry Lowrey. “It’s contagious to your underclassmen and the attitude they will take. Their (seniors’) attitude will dictate how we begin and finish the year.”

The Frenship boys basketball team can rely on its depth this season

The Frenship boys basketball team can rely on depth to get them to the playoffs this season.

“I think depth is going to be a big key for us,” said Frenship head coach Jason Dear. “I feel like we have players that we can sub out when they need a rest, and we won’t drop off. That is something in the past that we could not do. We would drop off when we would sub out.”

Krista Ford signs letter to play college basketball

Frenship senior basketball player Krista Ford signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Eastern New Mexico University in Portales.

Frenship girls’ basketball wins opener

The Frenship girls basketball team won its first game of the season 55-44 against Abernathy.
Krista Ford led the Tigers with 11 points while NaNa Atkins added 10. Akura Thomas had nine and Meagan Chambers had eight.
The Tigers had 31 total rebounds. Ford and Thomas each had five.

Lubbock Crush team defeats Amarillo in championship

The Lubbock Crush summer basketball team had to beat out another West Texas team to win the Denton Summer Shootout Texas Regional Championship on July 20.

Frenship Mesa Neighborhood to host basketball shoot out

The Second Annual Frenship Mesa Basketball Shoot Out starts at 7 p.m. Saturday.

The shoot out will be at the basketball court at Frenship Mesa Park, located at the intersection of Birch and Wildcat streets.
