The 6- and 7-year-old Frenship Youth Baseball team, the Grasshoppers, won the championship for the league.
Two Frenship baseball players selected to all-state team
Twenty-three high school baseball players from Lubbock and the South Plains were recently honored as all-state selections by the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association.
Red Sox take first in Western youth farm division
The Lubbock Western Youth Baseball team, the Red Sox, took first in the farm division and finished the season 16-1. They were also the champions in the Lubbock City Tournament.
Tyler Lyons selected for USA Baseball National Team
Tyler Lyons, a former Frenship standout who now is a pitcher for Oklahoma State, has been named to the 2008 USA Baseball National Team that will compete next month at the Haarlem Baseball Week in the Netherlands and at the FISU World Championships in the Czech Republic.

Tyler Lyons invited to play in national team trials
Oklahoma State pitcher and former Frenship standout Tyler Lyons has been invited to participate in the USA Baseball national team trials.
USA Baseball announced Monday a list of eight players who had accepted invitations, raising the total number of participants to 34.
