Going wild: Families adopt North Ridge animals during summer months(0)

July 23, 2008

Every summer, North Ridge Elementary School is the site of a mass migration. Animals of different species move from the classroom to homes to be cared for during the summer months.

Through the Summer Adoption Program, which is part of the school’s Zoo Crew, about 110 animals made the move this year. Through the program, families have chosen to adopt an animal for one month, two months or the entire summer.
