Frenship students earn recognition

Editor’s Note: Following are the December Teens of the Month, which should have run in that month. Frenship Today regrets the error.

Bob Barker, a senior at Frenship, is the son of Shanna Barker.

Aubrey Barney is a fifth-grader at North Ridge Elementary. She is involved in cheerleading, has earned a black belt in karate and enjoys reading.

Emily Baum, a seventh-grader at Heritage, is the daughter of Jeff and Kelly Baum and Brandon and Karen Poe. She plays volleyball, is involved with student council and has won a spelling bee.

Luke Blackmon, a fifth-grader at Crestview Elementary, is the son of Levi and Mikki Blackmon. He is involved in student council and was nominated for Gifted and Talented.

Deborah Bustamente is a junior at Frenship. She is involved with CNA, band, culinary arts and has earned a $1,000 scholarship.

Vesta Copeland, a senior at Reese, is the daughter of Leamon Copeland. She likes to help in food drives.

Caitlin Do, a sixth-grader at Frenship, is the daughter of Han and Maggie Do. She is involved with band and the drawing club.

Caiden Enriquez, a sixth-grader at Terra Vista, is the son of Kacey and Lalo Enriquez. He is a Jiu Jitsu blue belt and a volunteer at Church On the Rock and the Dream Center.

Monique Goodson, a fifth-grader at Westwind Elementary, is the daughter of Sandra Kimble. She participates in Pop Warner cheerleading and was a captain of her squad. She also tumbles.

Kennzie Greenlee, a fifth-grader at Bennett Elementary, is the daughter of Bryann and Michelle Greenlee. She is in the Gifted and Talented program and enjoys participating in academic UIL competitions.

Drew Hocutt, a fifth-grader at Bennett Elementary, is the son of Kirby and Diane Hocutt. He plays on a select soccer team and has competed in the World Championships at Disney’s Wide World of Sports complex. Drew has achieved straight As.

Emma Keas, a fifth-grader at Crestview Elementary, is the daughter of Jimmy and Jennifer Stickles. She is involved in Girl Scouts and likes reading and violin.

Annabree Kreger is a fifth-grader at Willow Bend Elementary.

Travis Libre, a fifth-grader at Willow Bend Elementary, is the son of Perry and Lisa Libre. He plays cello in Texas Tech’s string project, is a team member for Willow Bend’s fundraiser for Wolfforth’s Lions Club and is a member of Willow Bend’s College Ready Tigers Club.

Kameron Miller, a sixth-grader at Frenship, is the son of Dion and Carol Miller. He plays percussion for the band, plays football, runs track, and enjoys spending time with his family, including his two sisters.

Guy Morales, an eighth-grader at Heritage, is the son of Blaine and Syd Sexton. He is a member of the Broadcast Media team and National Junior Honor Society and sings in the choir.

Chandler Newsom, a fifth-grader at Oak Ridge Elementary, is the daughter of Cory and Kim Newsom. She is involved in dance, tennis and gymnastics.

Taylor Overstreet, a sophomore at Frenship, is the daughter of Kevin and Elizabeth Overstreet.

Samantha Ramos, a sixth-grader at Terra Vista, is the daughter Jerry and Naomi Ramos.

Denny Rosson, a senior at Reese, is the son of Chad Rosson. He enjoys hunting, camping and riding ATVs.

Gillian Ruiz, a freshman at Frenship, is the child of Pete and Heather Ruiz.

Joshua Salisbury, a fifth-grader at Oak Ridge Elementary, is the son of Cynthia and Don Salisbury. He is a participant in Gifted and Talented, won first-place in UIL music memory and achieved a perfect score on the Math TekChek.

Fabian Wilson, a fifth-grader at Westwind Elementary, is the son of Mary Helen Garcia. He has attended Optimus Boys Club.

Ayden Young, a fifth-grader at North Ridge Elementary, is the son of Paul and Brenda Haslam. He is an honor student and has achieved perfect citizenship. He loves soccer and reading.
