Frenship students donate books to Ronald McDonald House

Students at Westwind, North Ridge and Bennett elementaries donated more than 3,000 books to the Ronald McDonald House through a book drive sponsored by Aramark.

“I am overwhelmed that it was just three elementary schools … that was amazing,” said Dina Jeffries, the outreach coordinator for Ronald McDonald House.

Jeffries said some of the books are being given to families. Others have been brought to family rooms at Covenant Hospital and University Medical Center. The organization also took several boxes of books to a hospital in Odessa and are using some as gifts to children for their Care Mobile program, which provides health care to children in under served areas.
