Wilson to headline summer concert at Betenbough
For a third summer, Betenbough Homes is bringing local-grown artist Josh Wilson to Lubbock on Aug. 23 from 8-9:30 p.m. for a Summer Concert on the Lawn.
Specifically, that lawn will be the area in front of Betenbough’s three model homes at 6517 82nd St., where chairs will be set out for an expected 500 to 700 people coming to the free concert.
“This is our third year to do the summer concert. We’ve had Josh with us each year. This will be the first year that he brings the whole band with him,” Lauren Hays, public relations coordinator for Betenbough, said. “It’s a great, free family event, and a great way to wrap up summer.”
Hays said Betenbough has sent fliers to a variety of addresses in Lubbock, trying to tempt a variety of people to the Betenbough New Home Center for the free concert.
Red Mango will be providing refreshments.
Hays said for every yogurt cup Red Mango sells, Betenbough will match the purchase amount in a donation to the local Humane Society.
Betenbough employees were recently involved in working with two different animal shelters, and Hays said they were really touched and wanted to help more.
“Families love animals, and we love families,” Hays said. “It’s also something that our employees were passionate about as well.”
