County commissioners ban some fireworks
The Lubbock County Commissioners banned two types of fireworks during the Fourth of July celebration.
Aerial fireworks — missiles with sticks and rockets with fins — were prohibited by commissioners in their Monday meeting.
Precinct 3 Commissioner Ysidro Gutierrez said the ban prohibits any firework designed to carry a flame from the point of launch to the ground.
