Lubbock County Sheriff’s officials are investigating the suspicious deaths of a mother and her 12-year-old daughter.

Deputies were called at about 5:30 p.m. Monday to 9719 County Road 6940 in West Lubbock County. Neighbors told officials they had not seen or heard from the mother and daughter in about a week.

Family said the 12-year-old girl was a student at a Frenship middle school.

Officials say the deaths are suspicious in nature so they are investigating them as homicides.
