Sang Kim Learning Academy: investing in the future, now enrolling students

CHILDREN ARE THE FUTURE – Sang Kim Learning Academy is now enrolling students. Call Director Lita Wade at (806) 783-8880 for more information.
Sang Kim Learning Academy, located in Sang Kim Plaza at 6535 82nd St., on the corner of 82nd Street and Milwaukee Avenue, has been open since September.
At Sang Kim Learning Academy, they believe children are the future, and they want to invest in the futures of the children who attend the facility. As a licensed facility, the Academy exceeds state standards. The warm and inviting building has six classrooms – four classes dedicated to pre-school children, one class for toddlers, and one class for infants, with a maximum of 76 children total. Sang Kim Learning Academy maintains their goal of keeping a low ratio of children to teachers. This way the children receive more individualized attention and a little extra TLC.
More than just a place for your children to stay, at the Learning Academy young minds will be engaged in learning. The facility’s curriculum is complimentary to the Lubbock and Frenship Independent School Districts’ curriculum, making it easier for students to transition from the Academy into the respective school systems. As a bonus to the curriculum, children also learn Spanish and Sign Language.
Strengthening the mind is just half of what the Academy offers. They also offer physical education through tae kwon do to strengthen bodies. Tae kwon do teaches not only balance and coordination, but disciple and self esteem.
While their minds and bodies are in good hands, so is the children’s safety. Know that your children are safe at Sang Kim Learning Academy. The preschool is equipped with cameras and the door has a security code entry system to ensure that only authorized people have access into the facility.
Another low-key way of keeping the children safe is by identifying them by their unmistakable red shirts with the facility’s logo on the front. The shirts are also a way of teaching the children camaraderie. A dress code both teachers and children love is the “no shoes in the classroom” rule. Instead of wearing street shoes, staff and students are encouraged to wear house slippers. This keeps the floors clean, where the children spend most of their time playing and napping.
“The children who attend the academy are like family to us,” Director Lita Wade affectionately points out. “We take care of them as if they were our own kids.”
With limited space, classrooms are filling fast. Please contact the facility to reserve your child’s spot now.
