Frenship volleyball undefeated at Graham

The Frenship volleyball team started strong at the Graham tournament today as it won its three pool play games. They defeated Shallow 25-12,-25 15; Eastern Hills 25-13, 25-18 and Graham 25-19 23-25, 25-19 The Tigers will begin bracket play tomorrow at 8 a.m. but do not know who they will face yet. Frenships record is 11-1.

All UIL events postponed due to swine flu

The swine flu is effecting UIL sporting events.  The UIL has announced today that all UIL sporting events including baseball, softball, tennis and track have been postponed until May 11 in order to help prevent the spread of the disease.  This immediately effects Frenship sporting events that were to take place this week. Bailey Jones named player of the year

Although she was one of the most feared offensive volleyball players in the area, Bailey Jones never expected to receive the accomplishments she did during her senior season.
“With the records, it was just a matter of me playing,” said Jones. “I play hard every day and that is where it got me.”

Frenship playoff run ends against Randall

The Tigers lost in three matches to Randall on Tuesday to end their run in the playoffs. The Tigers last three losses of the season came from Randall. Frenship posted its best season in school history with 35 wins. The Tigers had 27 wins last season and 29 wins two years ago.

FHS volleyball wins playoff opener

Frenship had a run for its money its the bi-district game against Canyon at Wayland Baptist University. After falling behind 2-1, the Tigers rallied the next two sets to defeat Canyon. The Tigers beat Canyon three times in the regular season.

Volleyball records historic season

Frenship completed its best regular season in school history Tuesday with a three game sweep of Abilene Cooper. The Tigers have been undefeated their last three seasons and have reached the 30-win mark for the first time under head coach Jennifer McCully. The Frenship junior varsity and freshmen A team also went undefeated in district play.
