Blood donors sought today at Westwind Elementary School
A blood drive will be held from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. today outside of Westwind Elementary School on the donor bus.

Kindergarten registration planned at Frenship campuses
Frenship elementary schools will host kindergarten registration 3:30-5:30 p.m. Wednesday. Children who are 5 years old by Sept. 1 will be eligible to enroll. To register, the child must have a certified birth certificate, immunization record, social security card and proof of residence. The person who enrolls the child must have a current picture ID.
Frenship students donate books to Ronald McDonald House

Westwind Elementary students take part in Texas hoedown
When Westwind Elementary kindergartners finished up a unit on Texas, they decided to celebrate with a hoedown. Students rotated through kindergarten classrooms doing different activities, such as line dancing in Meredith Jenkins’ room, barrel racing in Glinda Hagood’s room and playing washers in Callie Parr’s room.
