Crestview begins 20th school year
Crestview Elementary School is celebrating its 20th year since it opened during the 1989-1990 school year.
The school’s theme for this school year is “The Tradition of Excellence Continues,” said Principal Doug Smith.
Each year the school has an academic pep rally, Smith said, and this year the anniversary will be a big part of the rally.

Eighth Annual Crestview marathon comes to an end
Several students were awarded as Crestview wrapped up its eighth annual marathon event recently. In the event, students tried to earn 26.2 “marathon miles” by walking or running at home with friends and family members.

Kindergarten registration planned at Frenship campuses
Frenship elementary schools will host kindergarten registration 3:30-5:30 p.m. Wednesday. Children who are 5 years old by Sept. 1 will be eligible to enroll. To register, the child must have a certified birth certificate, immunization record, social security card and proof of residence. The person who enrolls the child must have a current picture ID.

Crestview students, staff raise money for two causes
Crazy hair, pajamas and a skate night are some of the ways Crestview Elementary is raising funds this month for the American Cancer Society and children with autism.
